Fort Wayne's Tech Rise Solidified: Mark Cuban AI Bootcamp Chooses Electric Works

A prestigious, no-cost program from the Mark Cuban Foundation is set to transform opportunities for local high school students and bolster the city's growing reputation as a Midwest tech hub.

Fort Wayne is officially on the map as a rising star in the tech world.

In a significant win for the community, Fort Wayne was selected for the Mark Cuban AI Bootcamp at Electric Works, a move that signals growing national recognition of our local talent.

This exclusive, free program is designed to equip high school students with critical skills in artificial intelligence, a field rapidly reshaping every industry.

The bootcamp will take place over three Saturdays in November at the innovative AMP Lab at Electric Works, the heart of our city's revitalization efforts.

This is a game-changing opportunity for young minds in our region, offering them a direct pathway into the future of technology.

Local leaders, including City Councilwoman Michelle Chambers, have championed the initiative as a pivotal moment for Fort Wayne's youth.

Angie Carel, a generative AI consultant and co-founder of the local group AI in FW, emphasized the prestige of being chosen.

She noted that people often underestimate the Midwest, but this selection proves there is an "incredible eagerness to learn and adopt AI" right here in Fort Wayne.

The long-term benefits for participants are enormous.

Graduates don't just gain knowledge; they become part of the prestigious Mark Cuban Foundation alumni network, a resource that provides a distinct advantage when applying for college or launching a career.

The program is made possible by the support of local tech businesses like Co-Crafted and Code Clouds, who are investing in the next generation of innovators.

Competition for the limited spots is expected to be fierce, but high demand will only strengthen the case for Fort Wayne to host future tech initiatives.

The bootcamp is scheduled for November 1, November 8, and November 15, with an application deadline of September 30.
