🏗️ Fort Wayne Expands Southeast Housing Options

City Officials Break Ground on Phase II of Roosevelt Reserves

Fort Wayne city officials have broken ground on the second phase of Roosevelt Reserves, marking another step forward for the largest market-rate, single-family housing development in southeast Fort Wayne in nearly 50 years.

Located at Tillman and Hessen Cassel roads, Roosevelt Reserves spans 126 acres and will feature 131 residential lots once all three phases are complete. Phase I, which included 49 lots, launched in May 2023. Phase II, now underway, will add 30 more lots. A third and final phase is planned for the future, bringing the total investment to roughly $40 million.

The new homes will include both single- and two-story options with attached garages. Some will even offer scenic water views. Beyond aesthetics, the project represents a cornerstone of the city’s Southeast Strategy Update, designed to bring renewed investment, attract new homeowners, and strengthen long-term wealth building through homeownership.

Roosevelt Reserves is not just about houses—it’s about reshaping opportunity in southeast Fort Wayne by creating new, vibrant neighborhoods in an area that has long been underserved.
