Saint Francis Unveils Sleek New Logo, Academic Seal & First-ever Monogram

A fresh visual identity that bridges tradition and modernity—enhancing recognition across campus, community, and beyond.

A fresh visual identity that bridges tradition and modernity—enhancing recognition across campus, community, and beyond.

The University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne is stepping into a new visual era with the introduction of a redesigned logo, academic seal, and its first-ever monogram. These updated branding elements mark the first logo refresh since 1998 and expand the university’s visual identity toolkit.

According to President Dr. Lance Richey, the refreshed designs “reflect our continued commitment to academic excellence and our Catholic heritage … in a fresh, simplified way.” The new monogram, featuring a stylized “SF, is intended to complement the primary seal-based logo and existing athletics logo (the Cougar head), offering greater flexibility in different settings and enhancing the university’s recognition.

This strategic branding enhancement aligns with the start of the 2025–26 academic year and is rooted in honoring tradition while embracing a contemporary aesthetic that resonates across demographics.
