đź’¦ Fort Wayne Splash Pads Closing Soon

Promenade Park closes Sept. 29, all other splash pads run through Oct. 5.  Here’s your last chance for summer fun.

Fort Wayne families, enjoy the last splashes of the season! City Parks & Recreation just announced closing dates:

  • Promenade Park’s Water Rill: Closes Monday, Sept. 29

  • All other eight splash pads: Stay open through Sunday, Oct. 5

  • Hours: 9 a.m.–9 p.m. daily (except Robert E. Meyers Park, which closes at 5 p.m. on non-event weekdays)

  •

👉 Locations still running until October 5 include:

Buckner Park, Brewer Park, Franklin School Park, Kreager Park (Taylor’s Dream), McCormick Park, Memorial Park, Robert E. Meyers Park, Shoaff Park, and Waynedale Park.

🌟 Points of Splash Pad Interest:

  • Taylor’s Dream at Kreager Park – This is one of the first inclusive playgrounds in the country, designed so kids of all abilities can play together. The splash pad is part of that bigger vision.

  • Promenade Park’s Water Rill – More than just a splash pad: it’s a cooling stream built right into the park’s riverfront design. Fun for kids, but adults often dip their feet in too.

  • Buckner Park – Known for its wide-open green space, this splash pad is a popular stop before or after a picnic or soccer match.

  • Robert E. Meyers Park – Tucked above Parkview Field, this one often surprises newcomers. You can catch a TinCaps game and let the kids splash before first pitch.

  • Waynedale Park – A neighborhood gem that’s often less crowded, giving little ones extra elbow room.

đź’ˇ Scoop Tip: Dogs aren’t allowed within 100 feet of splash pads, but you can bring a frisbee, picnic, or scooter for extra fun around most locations.
